Correlation Analysis

To gather further insight into the State Happiness data, the correlations of key attributes were calculated, as displayed in the table below,

 

 

Based on the correlation scores and scatterplots, it appears that Happiness Score has the strongest linear relationship with Emotional and Physical Well-Being, as indicated by the correlation of 0.87. This makes logical sense as Emotional and Physical Well-Being are known to be a component of the overall Happiness Score. Work Environment and Emotional and Physical Well-Being have the weakest linear relationship with a correlation of 0.28.
